Reader Reviews

Dear Edward,

Just a quick summer note to say how much I enjoyed your small gem of a book. You manage to get straight to the heart of all that is often so complex and so large in Montessori allowing only the essence of it all to wash over the reader. In addition, and perhaps more importantly these days, the text is so functionally useful from an administrative point of view as an admissions tool, parent education piece, and staff development stimulator. You have dealt head on with a driving force in any Montessori school's dynamic and success and integrity: how to respond to the ever present tension between the long term (and time released) educational value being offered by the school v. the immediate (and measurable) return on investment being sought by its customers. Both your direct and indirect aims come through loud and clear.

Thank you!

"My niece has attended a Montessori school for the past six years. After reading "Getting Your Money's Worth" I really understand the tremendous role that a Montessori education has played in shaping and guiding her character development as well as her educational development. If my children were younger and I had to make a decision on their schooling, I wouldn't hesitate a second to follow the Montessori educational path."
